Rosebud Coffee, 11/15/18, 7-9 pm

The Center is starting its own Queer Art Forum to build community and support for our local LGBTQ Artists. Join us for opening night of our first exhibit on Thursday, November 15th, 7-9pm, hosted by Rosebud serves coffee with a cause by empowering homeless and transitional-aged youth with the skills to be a qualified barista. We are excited to be supporting one another! There will be a live show and mingling munchies with the artists. All art work will be up until January so you have a chance to purchase original gifts for the holidays!

SAGE provides advocacy and services to the LGBT elders. SAGE encourages communities to gather together for food and conversation with their LGBT friends and allies of all ages in their national friend-raiser: SAGE Table. Although this year it falls on November 8th, we at the SGV LGBTQ Center have decided to host SAGE Table on Sunday, November 11th, to combine it with our monthly community potluck! Like our monthly community potlucks, we encourage folks of all ages from all LGBTQIA+ communities to come together for great conversation and community building.

Please bring your favorite dish to share. Below are suggestions according to the first letter of your last name:
A-G    Main dish (meat/vegetarian)
H-K    Vegetable side dish
L-O    Starchy side dish
P-S    Dessert
T-V    Beverages
W-Z   Snacks

We encourage everyone to bring reusable cups, plates, and utensils to minimize waste.

"Through community building that begins at the SAGE Table, we’ll tackle the problem of loneliness that affects so many in the LGBT community—especially our elders. More than a one-day event, SAGE Table is an opportunity to build intergenerational connections that can sustain us all as we age."
